Forlorn Hope Que Saudade Verdehlo 2013

Special Price $24.99 Regular Price $27.99
Equal parts grown in the DeWitt Vineyard (Amador County) and the Vista Luna Vineyard (Borden Ranch); whole cluster pressed and (neutral) barrel fermented. 10 month long fermentation, 11 months total elevage. This Verdelho exhibits ripe orchard fruit like apple, apricot with hints of peach. Tasting this there are some light citrus notes and a small amount of spice, keeping things interesting. This wine also has enough acidity to keep it fresh on the palate, which is essential when pairing with food. From a textural point of view, it has a medium to full body, making it an excellent alternative to Chardonnay.
