Thillardon Chenas "Chassignol" 2014

$29.99
The Chénas Chassignol is populated by 90-year-old vines on land that is worked by horse. It has a fragrant nose of red currant jam joined by wild strawberry and just a touch of marmalade. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin that provides a good backbone. There is a linearity about this Chénas, tightly wound with a sappy, detailed finish. This is well worth seeking out.
