What We’re Drinking: Radeberger Zwickelbier Pilsner

May 21, 2026

As we approach the season of partly cloudy blue skies, you’ll find me drinking party cloudy Pilsners. The Radeberger Zwickel to be precise.

This unfiltered German pils is available at a very small selection of stores in Minnesota, and thankfully France 44 is at the top of the list. With a grainy backbone, a zippier hop character than a typical German pils has, and a bready finish, it’s an absolute triumph. It quickly replaces any of my “go to” beers when we have it stocked. It even comes in a 6 pack of 16.9 oz cans. (You’re going to want that extra .9oz)

Perfect for occupying one of your hands while you grill, sippin’ under the sun, sharing with friends, or just daydreaming about the Autobahn. This beer isn’t just good, it’s Keller!

Stephen can typically be found somewhere in the Beer Cave, stocking, making recommendations, and occasionally hitting his head ducking in and out. An advocate for Pilsners, West Coast IPAs, and the occasional Hazy, you’ll also typically find some Chenin Blanc or Vinho Verde in his fridge. When not slingin’ beer, you can find him working on playlists, playing driving sim games, or watching F1 races (just don’t ask how Ferrari is doing, grazie mille)
