What We’re Drinking: Gin Mare

I’ve always had an insane hankering for savory, salty flavors. If there was an antonym for sweet tooth, that would be what I have. When I was little, my parents would persuade me to do chores by dangling a piece of salami or bread and butter in front of my face. I preferred the rock salt to the ice cream we would make with it. I probably have some sort of deficiency, but hey, we’re rolling with it.

I’m still very new to the wines and spirits world, so I didn’t know about the more savory options before starting at France 44. But if you’re also the kind of person who wishes they could sip an alcoholic Caesar salad through a straw, you might like this gin. It’s briny, herbal, it rocks a gin martini. And hopefully, I’ll find more spirits that taste like focaccia!
