I’ve known Mark and Patti Bjornson for several years and have always been impressed with the quality of their wines. What really impressed me, however, was when I had the chance to visit their facility right before crush in 2023. Not only are they serious growers and winemakers, but also great stewards of their community. While I was there, they had two different young winemakers using their crush pad to make their own wines. Apparently, this sort of pay-it-forward mentality happens all the time with them!
Their workhorse Pinot Noir is balanced, silky, and shows plenty of plush fruit. Yet, at a mere 13.6% AVB, it’s just as suitable for a meal as it is on its own. I encourage you to raise your glass with me in saluting a couple of Minnesota transplants who know how to make a great wine and support their community!”
