What We’re Drinking: Oddbird N/A Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Languedoc NV

January 13, 2026

by Moses Naughton

“To ring in dry January here at the France 44, I’m drinking the Oddbird N/A Sparkling Blanc de Blancs. Oddbird works with small, organic producers in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. This particular bottle is made from Chardonnay and Colombard grapes and aged 12 months in oak. The wine is layered and complex with incredibly delicate bubbles. On the palate, notes of crisp green apple, Meyer lemon, beeswax and brioche stand out.

Chill it down ice cold and make it the welcome drink at your next dinner party, throw it together and with some lemon juice, simple syrup, and gin and you’ve got yourself a great low-proof French 75. Oddbird N/A Sparkling Blanc de Blancs proves that structure and nuance don’t have to disappear with alcohol.”
